You can almost feel it getting warmer outside… right?? Even though it may not feel like it now, spring parades are on their way. Red Regiment will begin preparing music for spring parades in March. The schedule is listed below. Please add this to your family calendar. Rehearsals are scheduled one per week. Winter/Spring athletes are to notify Mr. Criss (email@example.com) and their coach immediately so accommodations can be worked out. These after school practices are the only time the band has to prepare together as a team.
- All Red Regiment members & winter guard are required to participate in all spring parade rehearsals and performances. This is part of your community/school service and your participation points in class. These students do NOT need to register below.
All (current) 8th graders interested in continuing in band next year are expected to participate in all spring parade rehearsals and performances. This is your marching band training. We have training rehearsals in the spring instead of June like other area bands so that NorthWood students can have family vacations and travel on mission trips through part of the summer. There will be an additional registration process for fall Red Regiment. This form is for spring parades ONLY.
Any (current) 7th grader interested in trying out for Red Regiment next fall. Spring parade practices are when you will learn proper marching technique and begin your high school band journey. Band staff will evaluate each sections’ membership needs and will select interested 7th graders to fill out the roster for 2020 Red Regiment as needed.
All rehearsals take place at NWHS. The activity bus will be available to help students get from NWMS to NWHS. Students will be dismissed from NWHS.
